A light breeze brushed up against the juniper bush causing its two inhabitants to crouch in fear at the slight movement. The white, long haired Persian looked to her companion in fear. "Kitty Kitty, you go see who that is."
Feline eyes shifted from the white furred face to the sidewalk while being ready to bolt. Tentative steps led her to the edge. Still unseen in the hiding spot, she carefully scanned the darkened street and sidewalk that had been deserted for hours.
The overhead light continued to shine its amber light. Double checking that there were no scary people about, the calico whispered back, "It's all clear, Princess. When are we going home again?"
The long haired tail relaxed a bit at the news. "When we are sure it is safe."
"Isn't it safe now? We haven't seen a scary covered people for a long time now." She looked to the right again.
Princess settled mostly into the dirt. "A little longer."
Kitty Kitty peered to the l

-1- Getting Ready for the Party
Patrick closed the front door behind him. Running a tired hand through his short, blond, slightly spiky hair he dropped his briefcase just inside. He trudged and flopped onto the couch near the coffee table. "Oh man, what a day at work." With a deep, energizing breath, he leaned forward and attacked the mountain of mail in front of him. "Who knew it would be so busy on Halloween?" Bills piled to one side, and junk flung toward the trash in the next room. "Now to rest for a minute before the party tonight."
Ring!Ring! "And just as I was about to close my eyes, too." Ring!Ring! With a mighty effort, he dragged himself out of the comfort of the couch. The trash was collected and deposited in its receptacle. Picking up the phone he yawned. The number belonged to his girl friend.
Her cheerful voice bubbled over the line, "Patrick! How are you? Are you tired? I thought I heard you yawn."

The blond haired scientist rushes into the store like laboratory calling ahead of him, "Tracey! Tracey!" Leaving the back area and turning left toward the left, he aims for the dairy section and the testing area. Lab coat flowing behind like a cape, the badge sized device in the scientist's hand gets closer to the former produce section.
Upon arriving, the graying inventor slides to a stop in front of the two men, one of which he recognizes. "Sir! Errrrrr, Uncle Ben and whoever you are," greeting his boss and the brown haired man with him, "Have you seen Tracey?" In his excitement, Doc salutes with the badge hand and realizes his mistake. He trades the device to his other hand and offers it to shake.
The gray haired boss, in his own world, misses the outstretched appendage. The stranger clasps hands in greeting. Uncle Ben answers him, "Yeah, I had a hankering for taquitos and Eddo here wanted some, too, so I sent her to go get some. What do you want her for?"
A light and momentary breeze tried to penetrate the large dog's fur. With the dew point reached, the night air filled with low clouds blanketing the street in front of the house where she lived. Here, in the middle of the night, there came a sound. The captive canine looked at the large, jail-like, metal gate holding her back and then beyond. The flickering street light couldn't decide if it wanted to be on or off. This made seeing what was coming even harder.
The motor slowed to an idle as the rectangular shape stopped moving when the dog could see it. With a soft click, the door of the fog disguised vehicle opened for a moment and then closed. Warm exhaust cleared the air a bit near the tailpipe. An electric whine alerted her that the window was down. The sporadic flashes from above did nothing to help identify who this was and what they wanted. After idling for a few minutes, the engine purred like a contented cat as it pulled away.
Straining her eyes the dog coul
Look UpIn the corner of the living room, half-hidden under a curtain rustling in the light rainy breeze was the emaciated figure of a young girl, no more than sixteen or seventeen. She couldn't have been. Dr. James Noble let the beam of his flashlight hover over her skeletal form for a few seconds before he stepped towards her. The silence in the house was overwhelming. Nothing could be heard but the pattering of the rain on the rooftop, and the quiet, labored breathing of the little girl.
She couldn’t have sat down more than a day or two ago, but she looked as if she hadn’t moved in months. Her eye sockets were like gaping black holes, the eyes themselves like all the others. Every specimen they had seen. Everyone…everyone on Earth had done this…
He could barely look at those eyes; barely hold the gaze of whatever this girl had become. He closed his own eyes, his flashlight beam wavering as his hands shook. He fell to his knees; sweat beading across his body as he r

Snap. Just like everything was back in vision and he could see again. Where am I? he thought.
He looked down at his hands...to see long sharp gray talons. He yelped. "What happened?" out loud, the sound echoing in the empty world he had found himself in.
His name was Emile and he was greatly confused. He could easily remember what had happened when...that thing, which claimed to be the LP Curse, had decided to possess him. He said his personality would be gone but he was okay...other than the talons and whatever else had happened. A horrible thought crossed his mind What if I AM the LP Curse?
He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, deciding to look around. The area he was in was almost featureless, a gray plain, slightly tinted green. He took a step forward and was shocked when the area vastly changed, the gray plain collapsing to reveal a set of lime green stairs going down. He looked around; there was nowhere else to go. He jumped
what I did in outer space, and why I did it.Ten years ago, two candidates were needed for a mission that was far different from any other before. It would be a three-year journey to Alpha Centauri , a four-year mission to begin upon arrival, and three years back home once it was completed. The psychologists wanted people who weren’t leaving a lot behind. John was the obvious choice for the first position. He was the only child of an only child, who was also the only child of an only child, and so on and so forth. He didn’t have many friends since he was always busy with work, only acquaintances he waved to in the halls of the university.
A few weeks after he’d been chosen, he came to my office to tell me that his superiors were still looking for a second.
“Ten years is a long time to be gone from Earth,” I told him from my desk, though he knew by the way I was spinning in my chair that I was seriously considering it.
“Just put your name in and see wh
The Fairest Competition in the Universe It wasn't an epidemic. It was more like pandemic. Throughout the planet, no matter in which country, people were found unconscious. On the streets, at home, in shops, whenever. But it wasn't some kind of illness. There was something odd about it. All victims weren't dead, but they couldn't be called alive either. They weren't breathing, their hearts stopped beating, but their bodies remained warm and flexible, not turning into "proper" corpses. And the only common thing about them was the lack of something common. Children, teenagers, elderly people - anybody. History knew some examples of such symptoms, but at the time when they had appeared others had preferred to stay silent about them, so the only thing left was to watch them.
"Grace? Dr. Holloway?"
"There's another one. Was found near the fountain in the square". The nurse showed a document book in light brown cover. "The only documents we could find".
VT 2 Aftermath 1A purple furry girl was sitting on the couch in front of the cameras, as they began to roll.
Rena: Hello everyone and welcome to the VT aftermath. These last four battles have been brutal on the green team, so they have lost four out of four battles. They deserve it more than anyone to win the next battle, please make it happen everyone! Seriously, you're putting my husband in a lot of gambling debt! Anyway, today's guests are the first four to lose in the tournament. Blackfire, Giganta, MK, and Mikaela Banes. Let's start with the first to get eaten.
Blackfire was sitting on the couch, and looked at Rena.
Rena: So Blackfire. Your sister Starfire entered the tournament last season. Was that your inspiration for entering this one?
Blackfire: Well obviously. I wanted to prove I was superior.
Rena: And how did that work out for you?
Blackfire: It was unfair. How could I have been defeated like that?! I had the advantage!
Rena: Apparently that wasn't enough. But still Blackfire, do you thin
VT 2 - Chapter 4In the red team's living room, they were celebrating their continued winning streak. Jasmine was enjoying the attention and the amount of praise the girls were giving her.
Carly: You did great in that battle Jasmine, I hope that we can keep up the winning streak.
Jasmine: Me too, but I'm kind of worried about something. I haven't seen Dark Magician Girl lately. I know it's surprising that after all the arguing I'm worried about her, but come on, I don't want her as an enemy.
Clover: Don't worry, you two might fight a lot, but I know she wouldn't turn on a teammate.
Aayla: We should start thinking about who we could eat next. Zelda is off the menu for two more battles, so that leaves twelve girls.
Carly: I want Mikaela to get eaten, and I want to be the one to do it. She' Sam's ex so nothing would make me happier.
The girls smiled and giggled at the thought of Carly eating Mikaela.
On the couch, Rapunzel and Samus were snuggling each other.
Samus: It was just one vote Rapunzel. It's not
OHFE: The Christmas Calendar The day at school was hard, there wasn't even time to glance out of the window. Even too hard - as soon as Kyon Turlough went out of school doors, he at first thought that he was dreaming or the whole building had been brought to another place, like in that nasty business with Judoon platoon on the moon. Actually the urban landscape was the same, but everything was covered with the layer of white powder which was falling from the sky. Or it wasn't powder - those were large flakes.
"Wow, it's the first snow!" Audrey Rayner, the girl in whose family Kyon lived during his being on Earth, rushed out of the school doors. Unlike her "temporal brother", she was excited about this natural phenomenon. "Kyon? What's up?"
"What is going on, Audrey?" Kyon wondered, taking a handful of white flakes from the ground. Those weren't small balls, as he thought, but the combinations of tiny crystals - so accurate that even the best and exact gears couldn't have made them.
Origins: Descent Pt. ILong ago before the digital world began, the world was bare. Nothing but a veritable wasteland of emptiness.
However, in the empty wastes a figure walked, alone. He looked up to the sky, the distant star-like utopia he was banished from beckoned and taunted him, as its data streams began to gradually infuse into this new barren world.
He wanted to be their savior. He wanted to help and save as many of those he so greatly admired as he could with the power he was given. He was made by them…by everything that was them. His body reflected that, what he used to be…home, family, nationality, even memory of whom he once was all gone, for all intents and purposes he no longer was one of them. No longer human.
His body still resembled them… shaggy hair, young physique, worn facial features all obscured in a pixilated, faint, white aura that obscured his skin. He was alone, and in pain.
The pain was not from any damage of flesh… but a deep pain that can only be achie
Bella's MansionBella Starling was a one-of-a-kind woman. She had a fair body, though she took pride of her upper body, as the men she encountered basically fought over her, because of her fairly ample breasts. She took care to keep her lower half in a state of mystery, by wearing figure-friendly dresses and skirts, which often made her peers jealous.
What Bella prided herself over was the fact that she was dating one of the richest men in Noble Point. His name was Curry Drench. Bella was always one to laugh heartily in the company of Curry. Her boyfriend was a rather dark fellow. He seemed rather closed, and contemptuous. When she said, "Let's go shopping," Curry often said, "So you can, what, fill the home with more useless things?"
She never really took him seriously. Curry was only dating her to fulfill his mother's wishes, as well as his own. The Drench family name was not to die without a heir or heiress. Curry, himself was the only one left in the Drench family. He was only 6'2" and Bella was 5

Red Letter Day - Prologue
So here I am, writing.
I’m writing, I’m writing – just as you told me to.
I’m writing, I’m writing, I’m writing.
Have you ever noticed that when the sun goes down, this flat changes? It does. The walls are white during the day and lingering brown at night. During the day, I’m with you and the light from outside paints the walls that heavenly color. But when that sun goes down, the demons wake and I’m alone again, even though you’re just a room away.
Somehow it seems less threatening tonight, and I think it’s because you’ve given me an assignment to try and fight off the darkness. You gave me a stack of papers and a pen and told me to write everything that comes to mind.
It’s a strange feeling to have complete freedom. These empty pages are mine to do whatever I please – I could even wipe my ass with them – but they’re also terribly intimidating. The blank page has always been a nemesis of man. It&
